How to Use the T in Boston
In Boston we call our subway system the MBTA aka the T. For only $2.00 ($1.70 if you buy a reusable CharlieCard), you can take a ride anywhere in the city of Boston. The T subway system includes the Blue Line, Orange Line, Green Line, Red Line and part of the Silver Line.
You can take the Orange Line outbound and heard towards North Station to catch a Celtics game at the TD Garden or get off at Chinatown and enjoy some Dim Sum at some of the top restaurants in Chinatown.
The Green Line can seem a little confusing with the B, C, D, E trains. Hop outbound on the Prudential stop on the Green Line and head towards the Museum of Fine Arts to see wonderful exhibits, programs, and collections.
The Red Line will take you into Cambridge where you can grab a bit to eat in Harvard Square, we recommend Harvest Restaurant, and then grab a pastry at Flour Bakery + Café in Central Square on your way back.
Looking for something to do with the kids? Jump on the Blue Line and head to the New England Aquarium. If you are traveling in the summer, reserve tickets for the Whale Watch abroad the Voyager III.
Lastly, we have the Silver Line. The Silver Line takes you to a new up and coming area of the city, Boston’s Seaport District. Restaurants we recommend trying are Strega Waterfront or 606 Congress.
Where ever you go in city, we hope you have a great time.

When I first moved to Boston I was so excited about all the great places that were easily accessible and within a couple of hours away. I was going to go whale watching, take a cruise for a hike on the harbor islands, take the commuter rail to the beach for a picnic, walk around the campus at Harvard and dream about how different life woulda, coulda been had I gone…
I have done exactly none of these things.
Being from the west coast, I was excited to be so near NYC and Cape Cod and Nantucket. As the ultimate beach lover, I couldn’t wait to spend weekends exploring every nook and cranny of the coast, digging my toes into sand and ambling through cute beach towns.
I’ve made it to NY a couple of times, and have spent a few weekends at the beach, but I’ve also been to San Fransisco, Houston, and made several trips to Florida within the same number of years.
Really – why do we always put off seeing the places that are close to us?!
Well if you live nearby and just never got around to going, or you want to come to New England and see what all the “leaf peeping” fuss is about, now’s the time! The blasting heat of summer is over and it won’t be long before we’re complaining about the snow; pack a bag and enjoy a relaxing and picturesque day.

What does “Affordable Luxury: Edited Service” mean?
“These are hotels with high design and low overhead.” (The Telegraph) The Inn @ St Botolph has filled a new niche and finds their guests appreciate that they’ve eliminated some of the extravagent service levels of traditional hotels – and replaced them with choice and value.
Instead of passing on the expense of an on-site restaurant, we offer fully accessorized kitchenettes that include a full size refrigerator with ice-maker, two burner stove, microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker. Our convenient location gives you many dining options right outside your door, and with a 24-hour market right around the corner, no one seems to notice we’ve edited out the overpriced mini-bar of traditional hotels.
Bargain Shoppers Hit The Luxe Lane
“Luxury travel isn’t just for the elite few anymore, as top-drawer properties draw the style-conscious with inviting discounts on accommodations and services. Determined to get the most bang for her buck, the frivolous “fashionista” is changing her ways amidst the troubled times. Emerge the “recessionista” who values the dollar while remaining chic, stylish, and upbeat even when stocks are down…”
“Boston’s best-kept-yet-brand-new secret, the 16-suite Inn @ St. Botolph, draws with affordable luxury, including interiors by designer Celeste Cooper, easy proximity to Boston’s most desirable attractions, and the pleasure of knowing you won’t be nickled and dimed by pesky services…”
