How to Use the T in Boston

In Boston we call our subway system the MBTA aka the T. For only $2.00 ($1.70 if you buy a reusable CharlieCard), you can take a ride anywhere in the city of Boston. The T subway system includes the Blue Line, Orange Line, Green Line, Red Line and part of the Silver Line.

You can take the Orange Line outbound and heard towards North Station to catch a Celtics game at the TD Garden or get off at Chinatown and enjoy some Dim Sum at some of the top restaurants in Chinatown.

The Green Line can seem a little confusing with the B, C, D, E trains. Hop outbound on the Prudential stop on the Green Line and head towards the Museum of Fine Arts to see wonderful exhibits, programs, and collections.

The Red Line will take you into Cambridge where you can grab a bit to eat in Harvard Square, we recommend Harvest Restaurant, and then grab a pastry at Flour Bakery + Café in Central Square on your way back.

Looking for something to do with the kids? Jump on the Blue Line and head to the New England Aquarium. If you are traveling in the summer, reserve tickets for the Whale Watch abroad the Voyager III.

Lastly, we have the Silver Line. The Silver Line takes you to a new up and coming area of the city, Boston’s Seaport District. Restaurants we recommend trying are Strega Waterfront or 606 Congress.

Where ever you go in city, we hope you have a great time.
